Raha Moharrak (* 1986 in Jeddah ) is a Saudi Arabian mountaineer .

Life

Moharrak, who grew up in Jeddah, is the youngest of three other siblings and graduated from the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates , in visual communication . She achieved her Master of Business Administration at Synergy University in Dubai .

Moharrak lives in Dubai and works in the graphic design industry.

Mount Everest

Before tackling the ascent of the highest mountain on earth, she climbed Kilimanjaro , Mount Vinson , Elbrus , Aconcagua , Kala Patthar , Citlaltépetl and Iztaccíhuatl . It was not until February 2013 that she stood on the Aconcagua in Chile and then conquered Mount Everest in mid-May of the same year . In a group of 34 mountaineers and 29 Sherpa mountain guides , she reached Mount Everest from the Nepalese side on May 18, 2013, as the first female Saudi Arabian citizen. Their group of four was called "Arabs with Altitude". Group members were the well-known Palestinian mountaineer Raed Zidan and Mohammed al Thani, a member of the Qatari royal family.
