history

At the initiative of Pastor Valentin Clemente, 22 people met on December 21, 1910 at the Huber inn in Altdorf to found the Altdorf near Landshut loan fund association. Inspired by the ideas of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen , the founders set themselves the goal of strengthening the economic power of rural areas by accepting savings and issuing low-interest loans and making people independent of the influence of foreign money. On January 9, 1911, with the entry in the cooperative register, today's Raiffeisenbank Altdorf-Ergolding eG was legally established. Initially, the Altdorf rectory served as a business premises.

The cooperative idea also led to foundings in Attenhausen (1894), Priel-Margarethenried (1911), Gammelsdorf (1911), Oberglaim (1911), Furth- Schatzhofen (1912), Ergolding (1925) and Bruckberg (1925). Over time, these cooperatives have merged and thus form the historical basis of today's Raiffeisenbank Altdorf-Ergolding eG.

In 1934 the name of the cooperative was changed to Savings and Loan Fund Altdorf near Landshut . In 1953, the name of the savings and loan bank was changed to Raiffeisenkasse Altdorf bei Landshut eGmuH .

The general economic upswing and the positive business and sales development of the cooperative made it necessary to build a new business and warehouse in the Dekan-Wagner-Straße in Altdorf and to convert the part-time management to a full-time one.

In 1962 the name was changed for the third time, which was also accompanied by a change in the legal form. Unlimited liability was lifted and the eGmuH became a registered cooperative society with limited liability ( eGmbH ). In 1963 the decision was made to merge the Raiffeisenkasse Altdorf with the Raiffeisenkasse Attenhausen to form the Raiffeisenkasse Altdorf-Attenhausen eGmbH. In 1971 the bank was named Raiffeisenbank Altdorf bei Landshut eG .

At the beginning of the 1990s, the Raiffeisen banks Gammelsdorf-Bruckberg eG and Furth bei Landshut eG merged with the Raiffeisenbank Altdorf bei Landshut eG. In 2001 the decision to merge again was made in order to continue to guarantee economic efficiency and to meet changing needs. Raiffeisenbanken Altdorf bei Landshut eG and Raiffeisenbank Ergolding eG merged to form Raiffeisenbank Altdorf-Ergolding eG with eleven branches. The headquarters of the newly created bank has since been located in Ergolding on Lindenstrasse.
