Raimondo Nonato De Azevedo

Raimundo Nonato de Azevedo is a former Brazilian basketball coach .

career

Nonato de Azevedo worked in his Brazilian homeland as a sports teacher in schools and clubs, and he also coached basketball club and national teams (including the basketball federation of the State of Rio de Janeiro ).

In the early 1970s he came to West Berlin and continued his sports studies there at the Free University . During this time he also worked as a basketball coach for the Berliner SV 1892 and from 1975 to 1977 first regional coach of the Berlin Basketball Association.

In 1976 he held the office of national coach of the men's national team on a fee basis at the German Basketball Federation .

Nonato de Azevedo then returned to Brazil and was active again as a coach of various basketball club and national teams until the early 1980s. From 1981 to 1983 he worked in Qatar as an athletic coach for the football team of the Al Arabi Sports Club , in 1984 and 1985 he held this post at the Qatar Football Association and in 1987/88 at the Al Wahda Sports Club in the United Arab Emirates .

He wrote numerous publications on training theory and worked in his home country of Brazil at the Iguaçú University, the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and the Centro Universitário da Cidade in Rio de Janeiro.
