Rainar Nitzsche (born December 27, 1955 in Berlin- Zehlendorf) is a German publisher and author of poetry, short prose, fantastic novels and non-fiction books about spiders as well as being a photographer and artist.

Live and act

Nitzsche studied biology and did his doctorate on the behavior of the bride gift spider (also known as cunning spider and predatory spider). The title of his diploma thesis was catching prey and "bride present" from the predatory spider Pisaura mirabilis and the dissertation dealt with "bride present" and reproduction from Pisaura mirabilis, including comparative studies on Dolomedes fimbriatus and Thaumasia uncata . Then Nitzsche retrained to become a bookseller and founded his own publishing house in 1989. He published his own texts for the first time in 1982 at Gauke Verlag , in 1985 in a joint book with Manfred Dechert, Christof Graf and Wolfgang Marschall at Christoph Graf Verlag (title: 53 texts), and subsequently in literary magazines and anthologies. All later books (until 2015, last title Spinnen-Sex and more ) were published by the company. Since 2015 he has been publishing his PFAD novels as e-books at neobooks and as paperbacks at BoD, where his new art books have also been published as hardcover and new editions of fantastic and lyrical titles as paperbacks. Since 2009 he has been going public with his photographic and artistic work (photo art books, spider art photo exhibition, gallery on the Internet). Since 2010 he has been teaching spiders at primary and secondary schools. He has lived in Kaiserslautern in the Palatinate since 1974 and has not only been a member of spider societies (DeArGe, AraGes, ISA), but also of Marfanhilfe, as he himself is Marfan from birth .
