Harald Braem

Harald Braem ( pseudonym : Wolfram vom Stein , born July 23, 1944 in Berlin ) is a German designer , writer , cultural scientist and color psychologist .

Life

Braem spent his childhood in Allendorf in the Westerwald . From 1949 he attended elementary school and a grammar school in Hildesheim . From 1962 he then studied graphics at the University of Applied Sciences for Communication Design in Hildesheim and at the Advertising Academy in Hanover . He worked as a copywriter and creative director in advertising agencies . From 1981 to 2000 he was professor for communication and design at the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences . His specialty is color psychology . Braem is a member of the Professional Association of German Psychologists . In 2005 he received the Medal of Merit of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate . In 2006 he founded the Institute for Color Psychology in Bettendorf. He wrote numerous specialist books, including the standard work "The Power of Colors".

In addition to his teaching activities, Braem is intensively involved in comparative cultural research , as well as in areas such as archeology and early history of the Canary Islands , pyramid research , shamanism and rock art research . From 1988 to 2013 Braem headed the Kult-Ur-Institut for interdisciplinary cultural research . He was the curator of the Bettendorf World Heritage Museum and the initiator of many cultural projects, e. B. Nassauer Kulturpreis, Nastätter Literaturtage, Keltenhof Bettendorf sponsorship group, Limeskastell Pohl, Art & Literature Trail Loreley (KLP).

Another field of activity of Braem is the writing of literary texts. His narrative works are partly of the fantasy genre , partly of the historical novel .
