The intermittent spring is located between the Ödengesäß district of the Nassig district of Wertheim and the Neuhof district of the Vockenrot district of Wertheim in an agricultural zone on the western edge of the Kolbenholz Forest .

After continuing north through the Klingenschlag forest , it reaches the southern edge of Grünenwört a good 800 m later .
