Rainer Endres

Rainer Wilhelm Endres (born May 30, 1957 ) is a German flotilla admiral out of service and in his last position head of the personnel, training and organization department in the naval command in Rostock .

Military career

Training and first uses

Endres joined the German Navy in 1977 and went through his officer training with Crew VII / 77 . From 1992 to 1994 he took part in the admiralty staff training course at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg .

Service as a staff officer

Endres served in the destroyer flotilla first as first officer , from 1997 to 1999 as commander of the destroyer "Rommel" . Later he took over the 2nd frigate squadron as commander in the Einsatzflottille 2 (2003-2005). After this use he took on a job in the Allied Maritime Component Command Naples in Naples .

Endres was employed in his land uses in human resources. Among other things, he was personnel manager for staff officers (up to BesGr A 15) in the personnel office of the Bundeswehr and head of department (personnel management of sea captains and admirals) in the department of personnel, social and central affairs in the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn .

Service as an admiral

On April 1, 2010, Endres took over the post of “Admiral Development Navy and Naval Training” in the Navy Office in Rostock. With the reorganization of the Navy in autumn 2012, he took over his current post as Head of Personnel, Training and Organization in the Navy Command. On October 1, 2019, Endres handed over this post to Captain Andreas Mügge , and retired after 42 years of service.

From January 2012 to July 2012 Endres "Deputy Operation Commander" was Operation Atalanta with employment Northwood ( United Kingdom ).
