Rainer Mordmüller

Rainer Gottlieb Mordmüller (* 1941 in Braunschweig ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Life

Rainer Mordmüller studied painting with Werner Volkert at the State University of Fine Arts in Berlin . He learned printmaking techniques from Mac Zimmermann and Fred Thieler in Berlin. With a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service, he continued his studies by learning printmaking techniques in Paris . He also learned the etching technique in the studio of Johnny Friedländer and at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris with Clairin to make lithographs .

In 1966, Rainer Mordmüller won the second prize for lithography from the École des Beaux-Arts Paris. In 1967 Rainer Mordmüller became a master student of Fred Thieler at the SHFBK in Berlin.

From 1968 to 1979 he worked as an art teacher in Bremen . In 1969 Rainer Mordmüller was honored with the bronze medal of the European Prize for Painting in Ostend . In 1980 Rainer Mordmüller was appointed to the University of Osnabrück and since then has taught at the University of Osnabrück and gives courses at the Summer Academy at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice .
