The Solomjanka Rajon (Ukrainian Солом'янський район / Solomjanskyj rajon ; Russian Соломенский район / Solomenski rajon ) is one of the ten city rajons of the Ukrainian capital Kiev .
The Rajon has 383,264 inhabitants (as of 2020) and an area of 40 km². With a population density of 9,108 inhabitants per km², it is the most densely populated district in the city. The name is derived from the incorporated place Solomjanka / Солом'янка, the Rajon itself was created in 1921.
In the Rajon is the Kyiv-Passaschyrskyj train station , the Kyiv-Schuljany airport and the National Technical University "Kiev Polytechnic Institute Ihor Sikorskyj" .
