politics

Wunschinski was honorary mayor of the Angersdorf community from June 1997, and local mayor since September 1, 2010. From 1998 to 2009 he was also chairman of the community committee of the administrative community Westliche Saaleaue , then the administrative community Würde / Salza . Wunschinski has been a member of the district board of the CDU Saalkreis and Saalekreis since 2003. In 2004 he was appointed to the council Saalkreis chosen from 2007 he was a deputy in the council Saalekreis . From 2007 to October 2009 he was chairman of the finance committee of the district council.

Wunschinski was the initiator and spokesman of the “Volksinitiative Sachsen-Anhalt 2011”, a popular initiative that wanted to have the municipal area reform resolved by the CDU-SPD state government reversed in order to reverse the amalgamation of small villages into unified communities. Wunschinski came under fire in the ranks of the initiative after he was nominated as a CDU candidate for the 2011 state elections in April 2010, which was seen as a position against the initiative. The referendum failed because from the beginning of July to the end of December 2010 the required number of signatures was not obtained.

Wunschinski stood in the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 2011 as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 34 ( Saalekreis ), won the direct mandate with 35.8% of the first votes and thus made it into the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament. In 2016, however, he lost to Robert Farle from the AfD in the fight for the direct mandate ; as his list position was also insufficient to move in, he resigned from the state parliament.

From January 2017, Wunschinski was the full-time mayor of the municipality of Teutschenthal . Here he came under massive criticism because of his methods. Several parents complained after the mandatory child seats were not used on a daycare excursion on June 14, 2017. After a meeting with Wunschinski, at which he was absent from his parents, the day care places for the children were also canceled. A court granted the parents' objection; the children were then allowed to go to daycare again. After the daycare manager, who was ill at the time of the incident, agreed with the parents on the matter, she was released. The reason given was "In the opinion of the municipality of Teutschenthal, Ms. Linda has seriously violated her contractual obligations". In addition, she was prohibited from approaching the daycare center and other community facilities more than 50 meters. The affair made waves in the press. Since February 2018, the Halle public prosecutor's office has been investigating Teutschenthal's mayor Ralf Wunschinski on suspicion of infidelity. After the accumulation of administrative complaints, disciplinary proceedings and criminal charges in 2018, the State Criminal Police Office of Saxony-Anhalt took over the investigation against Wunschinski in January 2019 at the request of the public prosecutor. On February 27, 2019, the Teutschenthal municipal council passed the voting procedure against Mayor Ralf Wunschinski with 22 votes in favor and one against. Until the vote by the citizens of the municipality of Teutschenthal in May 2019, Ralf Wunschinski was on leave from the municipal council and was no longer allowed to pursue his official business.

After a decision to vote out of the community council, Wuschinski was voted out of office on May 28, 2019 by the residents of the community. Almost 85% of voters voted to be voted out of office.
