Ramelsbach is a district of the municipality of Vierkirchen in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau .
location
The village is located about 500 m north of Vierkirchen (Upper Bavaria) on the Ramelsbach of the same name, a tributary of the Glonn .
history
Ramelsbach is first mentioned in the 9th century as "Hrammespah". This and the later name "Rammespah" from the 10th century mean Rabenbach .
The Freising Cathedral Chapter and the Indersdorf Monastery were the owners of Ramelsbach.
In 1665 the Hofmark Hohenkammer bought a farm, the Lamplhof, from the Indersdorf monastery, so that only the Siglhof remained in the ownership of the monastery. Until 1802 Ramelsbach belonged to the district court of Kranzberg . In 1823 two rural families with 21 people lived here.
Until 1971 Ramelsbach was written with two m. Presumably, a community secretary changed it for reasons of ambiguity and omitted the second m.
There are no objects entered in the Bavarian Monument List.
