Ramona Schröpf (* 1974 in Tirschenreuth ) is a German linguist and translation scholar . She teaches economics at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences . She is co-founder and co-editor of the series Studies on Translation and Intercultural Communication in Romania .

Life

After successfully completing an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk in 1997, Ramona Schröpf began studying to become a qualified translator for French, Spanish and English at Saarland University , which she completed in 2004. During her studies she spent some time at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria , Spain, the University of Pompeu Fabra , Spain, and the University of Aix-Marseille , France. She obtained her doctorate in 2009 with a dissertation on the subject of translational dimensions of connector sequences in Spanish and French. A contribution to the linguistically oriented translation studies Romansh - German , also at Saarland University, where she was employed as a research assistant at the chair Romansh Translation Studies from 2006 to 2010. From 2008 she was a five-year teacher for special tasks at the Faculty of Economics at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences. In 2009 Ramona Schröpf took over the position of professor for French linguistics and cultural studies at the Institute for Translation and Multilingual Communication at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne for one semester , where she was also a lecturer for audiovisual translation in 2012/2013. From 2010 to 2013, as a research assistant at RWTH Aachen University , she devoted herself in particular to Romance linguistics. Since 2013 Ramona Schröpf has been employed as a teacher for special tasks in the economics department at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences.
