Rangiputa is a settlement in the Far North District of the Northland regionon the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located around 27 km north of Kaitaia on the eastern side of the entrance to Rangaunu Harbor , a natural harbor that marks the southern beginning of the north-northwest facing Aupōuri Peninsula . The settlement, which forms the north-western end of the Karikari Peninsula , is connected by secondary roads to the New Zealand State Highway 10 , which runs around 14 km further south . About 1 km northeast of the settlement is the largest lake on the Karikari Peninsula , Lake Rotakawau .

Rangiputa is a settlement with numerous holiday homes and a sandy beach stretching around 3 km to the south, which on the one hand invites you to swim and is well suited for fishing due to the flow conditions at ebb and flow in the entrance to the natural harbor.
