Rangitukia is a small settlement in the Gisborne District on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located around 104 km north-northeast of Gisborne and around 13 km southwest of the East Cape in the mouth of the Waiapu River . The Maraehara River flows a good kilometer east into the Waiapu River , on the north side of which the settlement is located. Rangitukia is connected to the New Zealand State Highway 35 via the settlement of Tikitiki, which is around 5 km to the southwest .
The small settlement of Maraehara , located 3.5 km to the northwest, can only be reached via Rangitukia .
