Ransom is a German punk rock - band from Berlin .
history
Ransom is a band from Berlin, which was founded as a school band in a youth club in Reinickendorf in 1997 and, with a break between 2007 and 2010, still exists today. The band plays a mixture of punk rock , skate punk and alternative rock with catchy melodies.
The name of the band came about on a flight to the USA , where the film of the same name Ransom was shown in the on-board program.
Since 1997 the four band members have played numerous concerts all over Europe. Important companions were and are Beatsteaks , Donots , No Use for a Name , Mad Caddies , Blink-182 , Nerf Herder , Hot Water Music , Fire in the Attic , Brainless Wankers , ZSK , Andthewinneris, 20/20 Vision , She-Male Trouble and Jimmy Eat World .
