Ranuccio I. Farnese
Ranuccio I Farnese (March 28, 1569 - March 5, 1622 ) was the son of the Spanish military leader Alessandro Farnese , Duke of Parma and Piacenza . He belonged to the ducal house of Farnese, ruling in Parma and Piacenza . With the death of his father on December 3, 1592, he inherited his duchies.
Ranuccio Farnese had been married to Margherita Aldobrandini (* before 1585 - † August 9, 1646), Gianfrancesco Aldobrandini's daughter , since May 7, 1600 . He had nine children with her, five of whom grew up:

- Odoardo I. Farnese (1612–1646), Duke of Parma and Piacenza from 1622
- Maria Farnese (February 18, 1615 - July 25, 1646) ⚭ January 11, 1631 Francesco I. d'Este (1610–1658), Duke of Modena
- Vittoria Farnese (April 29, 1618 - August 10, 1649) ⚭ February 12, 1648 Francesco I d'Este, Duke of Modena
- Francesco Maria Farnese (8 August 1619 - 12 July 1647), 1644 cardinal .
