Raoul Strohhäker (born April 3, 1987 in Donauwörth ) is a German chess player .

Life

Raoul Strohhäker studied industrial engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology .

successes

In his youth he first played for the chess department of TSV Bad Wildbad and from the 2002/03 season for the SF 1954 Conweiler from Straubenhardt , then he moved to OSG Baden-Baden , with which he also played in the top German league, the German Chess League would have. With Baden-Baden he was German youth team champion in 2005, German cup team champion in the 2006/07 season and German team champion in the 2007/08 season . He is trained by the international master Yaroslav Srokovski at OSG Baden-Baden . In French leagues he plays for Bischwiller . In November 2006 he won the 8th Autumn Open in Bad Wildbad with a lead of 1.5 points.

He has held the title of International Master since March 2009. He achieved the standards for this at the 12th International Neckar Open in Deizisau in March 2008 , at the 16th Open Internacional d'Esacs in July 2008 in Montcada i Reixac, Spain, and with overachievement (6 points from 9 games) at the Banicky Kahanec tournament in September 2008 in Prievidza, Slovakia .
