Raschid Bakr

ar-Raschid at-Tahir Bakr ( Arabic الرشيد الطاهر بكر ar-Raschīd at-Tāhir Bakr ; * 1932 ; Karkaudsch , an-Nil al-Azraq province , today the state of Sannar ; † March 11, 1988 ) was a Prime Minister of Sudan .

Bakr, a member of the Union of Socialist Forces (Sudan Socialist Union) and chairman of the National Assembly from 1974, was appointed Prime Minister on August 11, 1976. He served in this office until September 10, 1977, when he moved to the post of Foreign Minister until 1980.
