Rasim Əhməd oğlu Balayev ( Russian Расим Ахмедович Балаев Rassim Achmedowitsch Balajew * 8. August 1948 in Ağsu ) - is an Azerbaijani actor, People's Artist of Azerbaijan SSR (1982) and winner of the State Prize of the SSR Azerbaijan (1986), the Şöhrət the Order and former chairman of the Azerbaijani Filmmakers Union and voice actor.

biography

Rasim Balayev was born on August 8, 1948 in the city of Ağsu. In 1969 he completed his acting studies at the Azerbaijani Art Institute and has been working as an actor in the Azerbaijani state film production company Azerbaijanfilm since 1972 .

He got his first role for a small scene in the Baku film studio called The Stars Do Not Go Out in 1971. Rasim Balayev's breakthrough in his acting career came with the films Nasimi (1973), Dede Gorgud (1975) and Babek (1979) . In 1974, for the first time in his career, he was the winner of the All Union Film Festival in the nomination "Second Award for Acting". He has also worked in Uzbekfilm, Mosfilm and other film studios.

From 1990 to January 18, 2013 he was chairman of the Azerbaijani State Filmmakers Union.

Rasim Balayev is married and has two children.
