Rastal is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality Tragöß-Sankt Katharein in the district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in Styria .

The village in the Laming Valley also consists of several individual layers.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 57 building areas with 17,803 m² and 26 gardens on 27,235 m² in the cadastral municipality of Rastal , in 1989/1990 there were 54 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 225 and in 2009/2010 there were 116 buildings on 255 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 155 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 479 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 104 hectares and 520 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 78 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 528 hectares. The average soil climate of Rastal is 13.4 (as of 2010).
