Ratangarh is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan .
The city is part of the Churu District . Ratangarh has the status of a municipality . The city is divided into 35 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census, it had 71,124 inhabitants, of whom 36,355 were men and 34,769 women . The literacy rate in 2011 was 75.8%, slightly above the national average. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of around 73%. Muslims form a minority with a share of around 26%.
It is known for its large frescoed havelis (mansions), which are an architectural specialty of the Shekhawati region .
Ratangarh Railway Station is an important railway station in northern Rajasthan that connects Bikaner and Jodhpur with Delhi via railway lines .
