Town hall in Jouarre

The town hall (French: Mairie ) in Jouarre , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region , was built in 1775. The town hall on the Grande Place has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1998 .

The two-story limestone building is attributed to the architect Saget des Louvières, who built it for the Notre-Dame Abbey . After the abbey was closed during the revolution , the building was sold by the state. In 1858 the town hall was established there. There is nothing left of the original interior.
