Ratko Dostanić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Ратко Достанић , born March 1, 1959 in Lučani , SFR Yugoslavia , today Serbia ) is a former Serbian football defender and current coach.

Career as a player

After initial appearances in Yugoslav football clubs, Dostanić played most of his career in the French second division .

Career as a coach

Dostanić began his coaching career in the city of Montluçon , as coach of EDS Montluçon . Before he took up his current position as a coach at Red Star Belgrade , he was head of the club's youth department. He will continue to hold both positions at the same time until the end of 2010.

Trivia

Due to his short tenure as a coach, Ratko Dostanić is often called Kratko Ostanić by some fans of the clubs . It is a play on words made up of the words "Kratko" (German for short) and "Ostani" (German to stay).
