Rebecca Ferguson

Rebecca Caroline Ferguson (born July 21, 1986 in Liverpool ) is a British singer .

Career

Ferguson graduated from Hugh Baird College in Bootle and is a qualified legal secretary. She initially took part in the castings for The X Factor and P. Diddy's Starmaker , without success . In 2010, she applied again for the seventh season of The X Factor . There she penetrated into the final, where she was defeated on December 12, 2010 in the last vote Matt Cardle . Like the winner and 3rd place One Direction , she received a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment after the competition .

Her debut single Nothing's Real but Love , which she wrote with Eg White , was released on November 20, 2011 and reached number 10 on the UK charts . The debut album Heaven , which was released two weeks later and reached number 3, was even more successful . In spring 2012, the single and album were also released in Europe and entered the charts there. The album reached the top 20 in the German-speaking countries and in June also number 23 in the US charts .

In December 2013 the second studio album Freedom was released. For the show 30 years RTL on 3rd / 4th January 2014 and their advertising campaign she presented the title Light On.

In March 2019, the Schiller album Morgenstund was released, on which she sings the song Love .
