Rebecca Hazlewood

Rebecca Hazlewood (* 9. April 1977 in Wales ) is a British actress in film and television . She gained international fame through roles in films such as Equals - The Future Belongs to You , Lost in London and Lost Transmissions .

life and career

Rebecca Jane Hazlewood was born in Wales in 1977 and grew up in the town of Kingswinford in the Black Country in the West Midlands . She is of Anglo-Indian descent. In 2001 she made her cinema debut in a minor supporting role in the comedy Dog Eat Dog, directed by Moody Shoaibi . In the 2000s, other roles in films such as The Extra , Kissing Cousins and The Ode followed . In 2015 she starred in the science fiction drama Equals - You own the future of director Drake Doremus alongside Nicholas Hoult , Kristen Stewart and Vernetta Lopez. She was seen as Monie in Tanuj Chopra's comedy Chee and T. She plays herself in Woody Harrelson's film Lost in London . In Katharine O'Brien's drama, she plays the second female lead alongside Juno Temple and Simon Pegg as Rachel.

She made her debut as an actress on television in 1998 in the British series Liverpool 1 . Hazlewood played other roles in series such as Doctors , Emergency Room , Lost , Grey's Anatomy , White Collar and Room 104 . Rebecca Hazlewood played more complex TV roles as Beena Shah from 2001 to 2003 in the TV series Crossroads , furthermore in the TV series Bad Girls where she impersonated the character of Arun Parmar in 13 episodes in 2005 and in the TV series Outsourced from 2010 to 2011 where she played the part of Asha in 22 episodes. She was then seen as Kamilah Al-Jamil on the television series The Good Place between 2016 and 2020 .
