Rebecca Maria Salentin

Rebecca Maria Salentin (born July 13, 1979 in Eschweiler ) is a German writer .

Life

Rebecca Maria Salentin was born on July 13, 1979 in Eschweiler and grew up in a small village in the Voreifel . She is the daughter of a German and an Israeli. Her paternal grandparents were Polish Jews who survived the Holocaust by hiding in the woods. She attended the Burgau grammar school in Düren and switched to the Anne Frank comprehensive school (Düren) in Mariaweiler in upper school . Before she successfully passed her Abitur , she had her first child. She has lived in Leipzig since 2003 , where she has been running the Zierlich Mannierlich summer café in an old circus wagon between April 1st and October 31st . To date she has published two novels as well as various articles in magazines and anthologies . She lives with her family in Leipzig.
