Law and Damage (proper spelling: law and damage ; abbreviation: r + s ) is a legal journal that has been published since 1974 and deals with insurance and damage law topics.
history
The magazine appeared for the first time in September 1974 in the Kippenheimer Verlag Information Ambs with the subtitle Independent monthly information sheet for damage insurance and damages. Recht und schaden has been published by CH Beck since 2005, and has been subtitled since 2012 as an independent journal for insurance law and compensation.
As a result of a cooperation, the magazine receives each of the more than 1,200 members of the Insurance Law Working Group in the German Lawyers' Association . Therefore, since 2013, the magazine has been accompanied by the members' magazine spectrum for insurance law four times a year . This had previously been published by Deutscher Anwaltverlag as an independent publication since 2001.
In addition to the spokesman Joachim Felsch , judge in the 4th Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice , the editorial team includes experts such as Professors Karl Maier and Peter Schimikowski , the presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice a. D. Wilfried Terno as well as other judges and lawyers. From 1986 to August 2014, the Cologne University of Applied Sciences professor Johannes Wälder acted as spokesman for the editorial team.
The journal is kept in numerous court and university libraries.
Content
The magazine is characterized by legal articles and case law overviews as well as the printing of selected and edited court decisions, which are often explained in annotations.
