The Red Pike is a mountain in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The Red Pike is part of a mountain range that separates Buttermere from Ennerdale and should not be confused with the Red Pike in Wasdale further south .
The Red Pike is 755 m high. In the south the Red Pike is connected with the High Stile and in the north with the Starling Dodd to form a mountain range.
There are opportunities to climb the Red Pike from Buttermere either via the Sour Milk Gill to its origin in Bleaberry Tarn and from there, or along the Scale Beck and the Scale Force waterfall to the summit. It is also possible to climb up from Ennerdale near the youth hostel at High Gillerwaite.
