action

Major Cross dumps food over a crisis area in northern Iraq without permission. For this he becomes popular in the United States, but his superiors are upset about it. In order to avoid court-martial, from now on he must watch over the president's nuclear launch kit, which he must always carry with him and, if someone wants to steal it, destroy it, whereby he himself should also die in the destruction.

On his first day at work, he is attacked by terrorists. The nuclear launch kit is stolen from him, which he cannot prevent. These then conquer a nuclear bunker with the suitcase, kill the soldiers who were supposed to protect the silo, and with the help of the suitcase they then bring the nuclear missiles under their control, without anyone being able to prevent it. After the successful operation, the terrorists use one of these nuclear missiles to destroy Mount Rushmore . After the destruction, the terrorists threaten to fire nuclear missiles on Washington if the president does not shoot himself in front of the camera.

The leader of the terrorist group is Lt. Colonel Murphy, a former Marine believed dead , whose unit was wiped out by the President and then Chief of Staff six years earlier for political reasons during an operation in Iraq, an attack in which he too died. Now Murphy wants revenge for what happened. Cross, who managed to survive the attack and infiltrate the terrorist group, is now doing everything possible to render the nuclear missiles unusable, to eliminate the terrorists and to save Washington. He gets support from Lt. Colonel Northrop, the only soldier in the silo who survived the capture of the silo by the terrorists and whom he was able to meet in his plan. But time is running out and they cannot expect any outside support because the bunker has been hermetically sealed by the terrorists.

Reviews

“A striking action film that never leaves any doubts about the good outcome of its story. Instead of tension, mountains of corpses and hair-raising improbabilities are produced. "
