The Reepschlägerstraße is a central access road to Bremen , district Blumenthal , districts Rönnebeck and Farge . It leads in an east-west and then south-north direction from Straße Kreinsloger to Richard-Taylor-Straße in Farge.

The cross streets and connecting streets were u. a. named as Kreinsloger after the camp (= loger ) of the crows, Segelmacherstraße after the handicraft that is important for the nearby boatyards, Wietingstraße after the captain's family ( Heinrich Wieting , Louis Wieting (* 1819) , Louis Wieting (* 1850) , Cord Wieting), Blockmacherstraße after this craft in boat building (blocks to change the direction of the rope pulling), Hinrich-Dewers -Straße after the entrepreneur and mayor of Rönnebeck (1856-1941), Blaufärberstraße after a local company, Takelbasweg after the, Buschdeel after a hall name (divided Busch), Turnerstraße after the neighboring Turnplatz , Hanfstraße after the hemp plant that was previously important for rope production , Hechelstraße after the comb-like device used to clean various natural fibers and Richard-Taylor-Straße after the engraver and mayor of Farge (1868–1953); otherwise see the link to the streets.

Surname

The Reepschlägerstraße was named after the Reepschläger , a trade in rope manufacture for sailing ships.

development

The road is an old connection from Rönnebeck to Farge. In 2009 the extension of the federal highway 74 to the A270 highway took place parallel to the street .

Blumenthal is Bremen's northernmost district.
Rönnebeck was first mentioned in 1586 and was for a long time in the office or district of Blumenthal. In 1908 the place was incorporated into Blumenthal.
Farge belonged to the Blomenthal office or the Blumenthal district .
