history

Surname

Die Turnerstraße wurde nach den an dieser Straße anliegenden Turnplätzen bezeichnet.

development

The road was an old dirt road. After the Second World War, many single-family houses were built in the area and the road was expanded. The forest cemetery could be completed by 1966. In 2017/18 the B74n federal road was expanded to become the A270 motorway.

Blumenthal is Bremen's northernmost district.
Rönnebeck belonged to the office of Blomendal or since 1885 the district of Blumenthal and the parish of Lüssum and from 1905 to the parish of Rönnebeck-Farge.
Lüssum-Bockhorn emerged from parts of two communities in the Blumenthal district that were incorporated into Blumenthal.

traffic

The federal highway 270 has been opening up the district for long-distance traffic since 2018 and leads west to the federal highway 74 to Farge to the Weser ferry and to Berne and east to the B 74 to Stade and to the federal highway 27 to Bremen-Mitte and Cuxhaven .

In 2007, the NordWestBahn offered advance service on the Bremen-Farge – Bremen-Vegesack (Farge Bremen) line from 1888, which was reactivated for passenger traffic .
The regional S-Bahn Bremen / Lower Saxony with the RS1 line has been crossing the street since 2011.

In the local traffic in Bremen the bus routes 91 (Gröpelingen ↔ Rönnebeck ), 92 (Gröpelingen ↔ Rönnebeck) and 96 partly (Ermlandstrasse to Neuenkirchner Weg, Ringverkehr Blumenthal) run through the street; line 94 (Marßel ↔ Bf BurgSchwanewede ) touches the street in the north and line 90 (Gröpelingen ↔ Neuenkirchen) in the south.
