Reformed Church Mutten
The Reformed Church in Mutten in Grisons is an Evangelical - Reformed church under cantonal conservation . It is in Mutten Dorf (also Untermutten ), while the famous wooden church is further above in the Obermutten fraction .
History and equipment
The church was built in 1584 following the adoption of the Reformation , making it the second oldest Protestant sacred building in Graubünden. The building presents itself as a typical preaching church with a polygonal choir covered by a cross vault . The baptismal font in the middle is also used as a communion table. The square, flat-mounted pulpit does not need a sound cover .
A lightning strike in 2004 disturbed parts of the nave and led to extensive renovations.
Church organization
The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Mutten together with Sils im Domleschg , with whom it is in a pastoral community , within the colloquium III Nid dem Wald .
