Reformed Church of Susauna
The Reformed Church in Susauna (in Romansh idiom turkey pronounced "Susäma" with an emphasis on the long ä) in the Upper Engadine is a Protestant - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons .
history
Before the village church was built, services were held in the church of St. Ulrich and Nikolaus . The church was built in 1696 and thus in a phase of political and ecclesiastical consolidation in the Upper Engadin after the end of the turmoil in Graubünden . From 1723 to 1834 there were pastors in Susauna. The cemetery was always the church in Chapella (now no longer used, reconstructed as a ruin) , which also belongs to S-chanf .
Furnishing
The interior of the church is kept in a simple baroque style. A pulpit without a sound cover delimits the choir on the left, while in the middle there is a baptismal table , which, according to the Reformed Graubünden custom, also functions as a communion table.
Church organization
The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Susauna as the preaching place of the parish S-chanf, which is in pastoral fellowship with Zuoz and belongs to the Colloquium VII Engiadin'Ota - Bregaglia - Poschiavo - Sursès .
