The Reformed Church in Tschappina top of the Heinzenberg is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . The church stands free on a hill.

history

In the Middle Ages Tschappina St. Johann belonged to the High Council before Portein came to be in 1505 in the pre-Reformation period . In 1459 a chapel under the patronage of St. Joder (= St. Theodor, probably after Theodor von Sitten ) is first documented in Tschappina . Tschappina accepted the Reformation after 1525 and soon after became an independent parish.

Furnishing

The steeple is covered by a pointed helmet , the nave is covered by a hipped roof. In the baroque interior of the church, everything runs towards the central baptismal font , on which the Lord's Supper is also celebrated. A polygonal pulpit with a sound cover closes off the choir room on the left.

Church organization

The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden runs Tschappina as the preaching site of the Innerer Heinzenberg pastoral community , which was previously pastorized by the parish office in Flerden , today by the parish offices in Cazis and Prec . Tschappina belongs to the Colloquium III Nid dem Wald .
