Regensburg library network
The Regensburg Library Association (RBV) is an association of over 20 Regensburg libraries and archives . The aim is to bundle information about activities and services of the partners as well as joint public relations work and cooperation with other cultural and scientific institutions in the Regensburg region. The library network is open to all libraries, archives and documentation institutions in the city and region.
history
The association was founded in November 2009 in a constituent meeting at the University Library of Regensburg , where it is also institutionally affiliated. In March 2010, the library network's internet portal was presented. In April 2010, an information fair with a festival program took place under the motto “Discover the library as a place of learning”. In 2012 the first information brochure "Libraries in Regensburg" was published, in which the members of the Regensburg library network introduce themselves. In 2017, an expanded and updated new edition of the brochure entitled "Libraries & Archives in and around Regensburg" was published. On the occasion of the European Cultural Heritage Year “Sharing Heritage” 2018, the Regensburg library network organized the joint exhibition series “What should stay? The diversity of cultural tradition ”with numerous exhibitions, guided tours and days of action. The Regensburg library network is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2019 with the exhibition "MORE ...
