The Reggentörlturm ( 3176 m above sea level ) is a mountain peak of the Maurerkamm in the Venediger group in East Tyrol ( Austria ). It is located in the north of the municipality of Prägraten am Großvenediger . Neighboring peaks are the northern Malhamspitze in the south and the Reggenspitze or the Vordere Gubachspitze in the north.
location
The Reggentörlturm is a rock tower on the south ridge of the Vorderen Gubachspitze ( 3316 m above sea level ) between the Reggentörl ( 3047 m above sea level ) in the south and the Reggenspitze ( 3230 m above sea level ) in the north, with the Reggenspitze is only an insignificant paragraph on the south ridge of the Vorderen Gubachspitze. The naming of the Reggenspitze was made at the suggestion of Th. Harpprecht, who, however, had actually intended the Reggentörlturm for this name. While there is no named gap to the neighboring peaks to the north, the Reggentörl separates the Reggentörlturm from the northern Malhamspitze ( 3368 m above sea level ). To the east of the Reggentörl tower lies the Umbalkees , which drains into the Umbaltal, to the west is the Simonykees , which forms the nearby Simonysee and subsequently feeds the Maurerbach.
Promotion opportunities
The path to the Reggentörlturm usually leads from the Essener-Rostocker Hütte to the east to the glaciated Reggentörl, whereby the summit is then most easily climbed via the well-tiered north ridge ( II-III ). The Reggentörl can alternatively be reached from the west from the Kleinen-Philipp-Reuter-Hütte or the Clarahütte .
