The Reggenspitze ( 3230 m above sea level ) is a mountain peak of the Maurerkamm in the Venediger Group in East Tyrol ( Austria ). It is located in the north of the municipality of Prägraten am Großvenediger . Neighboring peaks are the Vordere Gubachspitze in the north and the Reggentörlturm in the south.
location
The Reggenspitze is a secondary peak of the Vorderen Gubachspitze to the north ( 3318 m above sea level ), whereby it forms the south roof on the south ridge. In the south, the small Reggentörlturm forms the closest summit, which is followed further south by the Reggentörl saddle. To the west, the Umbalkees reaches up close to the Reggenspitze, in the southeast a short ridge of the Reggenspitze drops steeply to the Simonykees . East of the Reggenspitze lies the rearmost Maurertal valley , in the southeast the rearmost Umbal valley .
Promotion opportunities
The Reggenspitze got its name from Karl Schulze at the suggestion of Theodor Harpprecht, although the name originally referred to the striking rock tower of the south ridge. The Reggenspitze is insignificant in terms of mountaineering. The normal route leads from Regentörl around the free-standing Reggentörlturm to a snow shoulder, from which the ascent leads over the south ridge and left to the summit. There is a steep end to overcome ( I ).
