Government of Klement Gottwald I
The government of Klement Gottwald I , led by Prime Minister Klement Gottwald , was the first government of Czechoslovakia under a communist premier and in office from July 2, 1946 to February 25, 1948. It followed the government of Zdeněk Fierlinger II and was replaced by the Government of Klement Gottwald II .
Government formation, program
The then chairman of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ), Klement Gottwald , was commissioned by President Edvard Beneš to form a government after the KSČ became the strongest party in the 1946 parliamentary elections .
Only parties that had not compromised each other during the time of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia were admitted to the parliamentary elections, the structure of which had already been laid down in Article I of the government program of the Kaschau Program , which was also passed by the Czechoslovak government- in- exile in London . The candidates of these parties were then summarized on a single list of the National Front , so that no opposition could arise.
The government Klement Gottwald I followed the government zdeněk fierlinger II , 1948, then after the February overthrow the government Klement Gottwald II established.
