Live and act

Reg Wyer, as he was briefly known in the industry, began his professional career in 1915 as a still photographer for the Speights company in Bond Street, London . In 1919 he was promoted to camera assistant there. Over the next two decades, he was involved in an abundance of documentary films as an assistant and simple cameraman. In addition, Reg Wyer co-produced the 56-minute horror story The Unholy Quest in 1933 .

In 1940 he was appointed head cameraman for the state-subsidized documentary film (for the Verity and MOI organizations ). At the end of the war in 1945, Wyer photographed his first feature film with the melodramatic material The Last Veil , which was also a real box-office hit. Since then he has been involved in a number of very different quality entertainment pieces from very different genres. Wyer mainly photographed B-productions, but occasionally also quality films such as Quartet, So ist das Leben and Der Gefangene . He seldom exhibited skills that went beyond the mere routine. Most recently he was behind the camera in medium to low budget films - crime novels, horror stories, science fiction and comedies such as two products in the Carry-On film series . In 1966, Wyer photographed a number of international stars in the lavish comedy Tolldreiste Kerle in rattling rockets .

Reg Wyer died in the last quarter of 1970 in Bognor Regis on the British Channel coast.
