Regula Esposito
Regula Esposito (born November 3, 1965 in Zurich ) is a Swiss comedian , author , actress , singer , presenter and director ; until 2008 she was a member of the a cappella and cabaret group Acapickels ; since 2008 she has appeared as a soloist under the stage name Helga Schneider .
Life
Regula Esposito was born in Zurich and grew up in Niederdorf and now lives in Zurich District 5. After completing an apprenticeship as a structural draftswoman (1981–1985) and attending Comart, Theater School for Movement Drama (1986), she trained at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) continue to room and product designer. From 1989 to 1991 she was a saxophonist and singer with the big band Cover Girls before starting her career as a comedian / cabaret artist. With her stage character Helga Schneider she has since played on the German-speaking stages with great success.
In 1990 Denise Geiser, Bettina Dieterle , Fritz Bisenz and Regula Esposito founded the a cappella and cabaret group Acapickels. After Dieterle left the quartet, Jasmin Clamor joined the quartet, which up until 2008 had made well over 1000 appearances in six programs on stages in Germany and Switzerland. The stage characters of the Acapickels are honest women with glasses, in garish costumes, equipped with recorders, old-fashioned handbags and support stockings, who satirically deal with womanhood. Regula Esposito writes texts for the Acapickels, designs sets and costumes, takes care of the budget, marketing and communication. In 2008 the Acapickels split up.

In 2010 Regula Esposito started her career as a soloist with Helga Schneider with the program “HELGA IS BAG”, a cabaret, musical satire about reading handbags. Her second solo program "HELLNESS" is bitter cabaret about the beauty craze and media presence. In addition to her solo programs, Helga Schneider appears in various programs on Swiss radio and television, makes guest appearances in comedy mix shows, moderates events and arranges gala appearances. In 2016, Regula Esposito and Helga Schneider and her third solo program “SUPERH3LG @” struggled with the problems of everyday digital life. In 2018 Helga Schneider toured German-speaking Switzerland with the Swiss National Circus Knie and the “FORMIDABLE” program. From November 2019 she will be on the Swiss stages with her fourth solo program “Miststück”.

Personal
In autumn 2000 she was the wife of the Swiss writer Flurin Spescha for a short time . She has been with football manager Fredy Bickel since 2018 .
