Reinhard Krepler

Reinhard Krepler (born August 6, 1946 in Vienna ) is an Austrian physician.

Life

Reinhard Krepler received his doctorate in 1971, and in 1978 he completed his specialist training in pathology . He completed his habilitation in 1982 and was appointed Associate Professor for Pathology at the University of Vienna in 1985. He completed his training as an additional specialist in cytodiagnostics (1983) and human genetics (2005).

From 1989 until his retirement in 2014 he was Medical Director of the General Hospital of the City of Vienna . In 2004 he was appointed director of the “General Hospital of the City of Vienna - University Clinics” of the Vienna Hospital Association .

From 2008 he was also a member of the University Council at the Medical University of Graz .

He was on the personal committee of the SPÖ politician and district leader in Alsergrund Martina Malyar , the SPÖ politician and Austrian Federal President Heinz Fischer and the SPÖ politician and Mayor of Vienna Michael Häupl .

Krepler has been President of the Vienna Red Cross since May 2015.

Awards

On June 21, 2007, Federal President Heinz Fischer awarded him the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art, First Class.
