Reinhold Schultert

Reinhold Schultert (born June 8, 1919 in Neundorf , Löwenberg district , Silesia ; † April 9, 2013 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After attending primary school, Reinhold Schultert trained as a carpenter. In 1939 he did Reich Labor Service and then from 1939 military service and was taken prisoner of war , from which he was released in 1946. After the end of the Second World War he settled in the Holzminden district. There he worked for a construction company from 1946 to 1958 and became chairman of the works council. At the same time, he continued his education at the Dortmund Social Academy in 1951 and 1952 . From 1957 he was employed by the DGB and took over the DGB chairmanship in the Holzminden district.

Schultert was involved in numerous organizations and committees. He joined IG Bau-Steine-Erden in 1946 and became a member of the SPD the following year. In 1963 he took over the chairmanship of the AOK in the Holzminden district. He also became a member of the supervisory board of the Hamelin energy supplier Wesertal GmbH . He was a councilor and member of the district council and took over the chairmanship of the district parliamentary group of the SPD. He was mayor of the municipality of Bevern (from 1973 integrated municipality of Bevern ) from 1964.

From June 6, 1967 to June 20, 1982 (6th to 9th electoral term) he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the constituency of Holzminden , and from June 28, 1978 to June 20, 1982 he was secretary.

In 1973 he was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his work .

Reinhold Schultert was married and had two children.
