Reinold Assmann (born January 18, 1822 in Magdeburg ; † 1917 ) was a lawyer and member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation and the Customs Parliament.

Life

Aßmann attended the Dom-Gymnasium in Magdeburg and studied law in Halle , Heidelberg and Berlin from 1842 to 1845 . In 1843 he became a member of the Corps Marchia Halle . In 1848 he became assessor and from 1849 he served in Goldberg and from 1852 in Liegnitz at the local district courts as a judge. From 1858 to 1868 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for Liegnitz-Goldberg-Haynau and since 1862 a member of the parliamentary group of the Left Center, from 1866 for the national liberal parliamentary group. His activity as a member of the National Association attracted him to a disciplinary investigation in the fall of 1864. Acquitted in the first instance, he was sentenced by the higher tribunal to be transferred to Löbau in West Prussia. The unfamiliar climate and the excessive workload caused him an evil that compelled him to seek a vacation, which he was refused despite the certificate from the district physician and the approval of the district and appeals court, whereupon he withdrew from the judiciary in November 1865 .

From 1867 to 1868 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation and the Customs Parliament for the constituency of Liegnitz 6 ( Goldberg-Haynau ) and the National Liberal Party . His mandate expired on November 18, 1868 because of his re-entry into the judicial service.

In 1868 he was reinstated as a district judge in Sorau and transferred to Naumburg in 1872 . Appointed regional judge in 1879, he was regional court director from 1882 to 1890.
