René friend
René Maximilian Freund (born February 14, 1967 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer .
Life
The son of the television director and cultural manager Gerhard Freund , who died in 1979, worked from 1988 to 1990 as a dramaturge at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna. In 1992 he completed his studies ( philosophy , theater studies , ethnology ) at the University of Vienna with the thesis The Influences of Occultism on the Genesis of the National Socialist Weltanschauung ; In 1994 he received his doctorate with the dissertation on the philosophical connection of esoteric and fascist world views as Dr. phil.
René Freund writes plays , novels , glosses , non-fiction books and also works as a translator (English, French). He has been a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly since 2011. Today he lives in Grünau im Almtal , Upper Austria .
