René Valmy
René Valmy (born December 24, 1920 in Tarbes ; † November 6, 1977 ibid.) Was a French sprinter and long jumper .
In 1939 he won silver over 100 m at the International University Games.
At the European Athletics Championships in Oslo in 1946 , he was eliminated over 100 m in the semi-finals and won silver in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
In 1948 he reached the quarter-finals at the Olympic Games in London over 100 m and was eliminated in the 4-by-100-meter relay in the run-up.
At the Euro 1950 in Brussels he failed in the long jump in qualification.
Five times he was French champion over 100 m and four times over 200 m .
