Rena Riffel
Rena Lynn Riffel (born March 5, 1969 in Inglewood , California ) is an American actress , dancer, director , screenwriter and film producer .
life and career
Rena Riffel was born in Inglewood, California in 1969. When she was two years old, her family moved to Atascadero with her . At the age of eleven, Riffel starred in the musical The King and I by Rodgers and Hammerstein .
She made her acting debut in 1988 in the television series Paradise - A Man, a Colt, Four Children , in which she played a prostitute in an episode. In 1990, she starred in the horror film Satan's Princess supporting role Erica alongside Robert Forster . Rena Riffel made her breakthrough as Penny with Paul Verhoeven's film drama Showgirls . After this engagement, she got the role of Tiffany in striptease the following year . She stood next to Demi Moore , Burt Reynolds and Rumer Willis in front of the camera. In the episode in love, engaged, betrayed by a terribly nice family , Riffel also played a stripper . In 1999 she played the character Lina in the horror film Candyman 3 - The Day of the Dead, alongside Tony Todd who played the lead role Candyman . Rena Riffel played Laney in David Lynch's drama Mulholland Drive (2001) . In this work she stood in front of the camera alongside Naomi Watts , Laura Harring and Ann Miller .
In 2009 Riffel made her directorial debut with Trasharella , for which she wrote the script and worked as a producer . She herself starred in this black and white film , and Mary Carey can be seen in a supporting role. A sequel was released in 2011 under the title Trasharella Ultra Vixen . In the same year, the sequel Showgirls 2: Penny's from Heaven was released with her in the lead role. She directed this film drama, wrote the script again and was responsible as a producer.
