Renate Gebhard

Renate Gebhard (born May 2, 1977 in Bozen ) is a German-speaking Italian politician from South Tyrol .

biography

Gebhard grew up in Latzfons and attended the commercial college in Brixen . Then she enrolled for by the Universities of Innsbruck and Padua jointly offered "Integrated Diploma in Law " one. She completed her studies, which also included a stay at the University of Genoa , in 2002 with a jointly written diploma thesis . She has been working as a lawyer since 2006.

Gebhard was initially politically active in her home town of Klausen , where she was elected to the local council in 2005. As a result, she took on various functions in committees of the South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP), especially among the SVP women .

In the party's internal primaries as part of the preparations for the 2013 parliamentary elections , Gebhard came in second on the list of candidates for the Chamber of Deputies . In the elections for the Chamber of Deputies on February 24th and 25th, the SVP received 24.2% of the votes in the multi-person constituency of Trentino-South Tyrol , which enabled Gebhard to secure a mandate. In the parliamentary elections in 2018 , she was re-elected with 65% of the votes in the single constituency of Brixen.
