The Renault Talisman was a concept vehicle from Renault and was presented at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show . It was designed by Patrick le Quément .

engine

The Talisman is powered by a V8 engine with a displacement of 4494 cm³, which accelerates the car up to 250 km / h (electronically governed). The vehicle has a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and pulse shifting, which transfers the drive power to the rear wheels. The car's Michelin PAX tires have run-flat properties. A rear diffuser and brake discs with a diameter of 380 mm ensure safety and sufficient deceleration even at higher speeds.

innovation

The design concept of the talisman follows a rounded shape. The interior is accessed on both sides through 2450 mm wide double doors , which swing up electro-hydraulically at the push of a button on a chip card. Due to the gullwing concept, there is no B-pillar , which makes getting into the rear easier. The four seats are upholstered on frames made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic with red leather. The height of the built-in seating can be varied using seat cushions, and the position of the fittings and pedals can be adjusted to the driver's stature using electric motors. The round instruments correspond to the Renault touch design .
