The Renault Be Bop are two concept vehicles from Renault that were presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in 2003. The Be Bop is an SUV and the Be Bop is the matching sports car.
The designation was also used from 2009 to 2013 for a shortened special model of the Renault Kangoo .
engine
The Be Bop is powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 1600 cm³ with 84 kW (114 hp). The drive power is transmitted to the 21-inch wheels via a six-speed gearbox and an electric clutch. The 210 mm ground clearance also enables driving off paved roads.
The Be Bop, on the other hand, is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo engine with a displacement of 2000 cc with 165 kW (224 hp) and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. It is shifted via a sequential six-speed gearbox.
innovation
Both versions of the Be Bop are equipped with an underbody paneling to improve the aerodynamic values and thus reduce consumption. The lines run in curves. A large rounded windscreen and a panoramic glass roof are essential light inlets for the interior. In the interior, a large arch is drawn from the front to the back, which also serves to attach the four individual seats. This sheet contains, among other things, the gearshift lever and the controls for the heating, air conditioning, radio, etc. Two LC displays arranged one above the other show the vehicle speed and the engine speed in 3D. All other information can be read on a rotatable, retractable display. Headlights with diode technology and light strips at the rear are installed on the outside . The tailgate opens in two steps. First the pane swings up, then the loading floor is lowered.
In addition, you can hide the rear seats under the front seats in the Be Bop to have more storage space.
In the Be Bop a sporty profile is installed. The seats offer more lateral support.
