The Renault Fluence study was presented in 2004 at the Louis Vuitton Classic automobile competition and at the Paris Motor Show, under the direction of chief designer Patrick le Quément . Since late 2009, the Fluence has been mass-produced in Turkey under unchanged names.
engine
The concept car was powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 206 kW (280 hp). It was shifted with a six-speed automatic which distributed a maximum torque of 365 Nm to the front wheels.
Furnishing
Valeo LED headlights were installed in the Fluence , which adjust to the course of the journey depending on the position of the wheels. In the interior, the fittings are designed like a leaf. Additional functions such as the radio or air conditioning are controlled via a joystick and an LC screen. The seats are mounted on rails that allow the seat to extend the side sections and the backrest when the doors are opened.
Zero emission concept
In 2009, an electric version of the upcoming vehicle under the name Fluence ZE Concept was presented at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt . It was powered by a 70 kW (95 PS) engine with a torque of 226 Nm, which drives the front wheels. The vehicle has a range of 160 kilometers and then has to be charged for 20 minutes (fast charging) and eight hours (conventional).
This electric vehicle is scheduled to be launched in Israel and Europe in 2011.
